Gary and Sophie worked together for almost eighteen years. Their journey began at Portland Gallery with Tom Hewlett in 2008.

Sophie is passionate about championing the very best of British art and feels completely honoured to have had a small part to play in bringing Gary’s paintings to a broad audience with a high standard of service.

Sophie has thoroughly enjoyed watching Gary’s work develop, exploring new subjects whilst always retaining his distinctive artistic charm. It has been a great honour for her to see the connection clients make with Gary’s paintings and the comfort, joy and hope that comes with it. His work had a quiet power, a warmth and honesty that resonated deeply with so many.

A highlight was observing all different ages and nationalities connecting with Gary's paintings at Saatchi Gallery in 2023 and 2025. He undoubtedly enriched the lives of all those fortunate enough to have joined the journey and importantly, his strong faith shone through.
